Join us for a ceilidh – evening dances

Ceilidh dance with us! We have several public ceilidh dance events coming up. We’d love to see you there.

No need to have any idea what ceilidh dancing is, just an enthusiasm to have some fun. Ceilidh dancing is very inclusive, suitable for everyone, even those with two left feet. No experience or partner required.

Caller Kate Smith (of Ceilidh Cornwall) will be your caller and will show you how to do all the dances. Most often dances are with the fabulous The Brim Ceilidh Band, professional folk musicians with lots of experience of playing for dancing.

Dancing with hens at our spring ceilidh in the barn at Tresemple Farm!

Join us for an evening of high-energy Celtic music and ceilidh dancing at Tresemple Farm near Truro. With The Brim Ceilidh Band bringing driving rhythms and uplifting tunes, and Kate from Ceilidh Cornwall calling the dances, expect a full dancefloor, brilliant live music, and a welcoming atmosphere from the very first dance.

Our first ceilidh at Tresemple Farm sold out with a waiting list, and we’ve had lots of people asking when the next one would be — so we’re delighted to be back for a summer edition in the barn.

Tresemple Farm is located between Truro and Tresillian, near Penair school. There is plentiful free parking, food will be available to buy from 17:30 and dancing will start at 18:30. We aim to finish dancing around 21:30 and everyone will have headed home by 22:00.

Tickets are priced on a sliding scale: ÂŁ10 – ÂŁ12.50 – ÂŁ15. Children aged 8 – 17 ÂŁ6. Under 8s ÂŁ3.

Schedule
17:30 – Doors open and food available to buy
18:30 – Start dancing
21:30 – Finish dancing
22:00 – Carriages

What to expect:

  • A spacious barn with plenty of room to dance
